Here is a step-by-step guide to receiving your diploma and ECFMG Certification. From my personal AUA experience, some steps may defer if you went to another Caribbean/International Medical School. But never have I received more questions about these steps, so here we go!
Also, each step may take 5-10 business days, be patient!
Step 1
Celebrate!! You graduated medical school; what an accomplishment!
Step 2
Request your USMLE transcript (70$) and get it mailed to yourself and your school. It was delivered to my address before delivering to the school’s address.

I did this a month before my graduation/final rotation to speed up the process because I wanted to write Step 3.
Step 3
Diploma Audit – the school will request all your clerkship evaluations and grades to be in, among other individualized requests depending on your journey, be prompt to deliver to receive your diploma.
Step 4
Receive your diploma! Upload it here to receive your ECFMG CERTIFICATION.

Step 5
Receive your ECFMG Certification – you are officially DONE! You may need to send it to your Residency Program or elsewhere!
Step 6 (optional)
If you want to take Step 3, you must register on FSMB.org (no more ECFMG/oasis) (370$)
You must upload your Diploma/ECFMG certification and get your Certificate of Identity notarized (I got it notarized online for 75$, if you are American, you can go to a local UPS).
